Jobs and gigs, made in Aotearoa
Giggy is a small kiwi team with a simple idea: finding work, or finding someone to do the work, should not cost anything and should not take all day.
Why we built it
Most job boards were built for big companies with HR teams and budgets. The cafe down the road, the orchard that needs pickers next month, the person who needs a hand moving house on Saturday: they get left out, or they pay through the nose. Giggy is for them, and for everyone looking for that kind of work.
So it is free to post a job and free to apply. Full time, part time, casual, seasonal, one off. All of it.
How it works
- Looking for work? Browse without an account. When you find something, make a free account, fill in your details once, and apply with a short note. Some jobs ask for a video application where you record quick answers to five questions from your phone or computer.
- Hiring? Add your business details, post the job, and applicants land in your listings. Shortlist, reply, close the job when it is filled. Job posters never pay.
- Job alerts. Tell us what you are after and we will email you when something matches. One email a day at most.
The video application
Some employers want to hear from you, not just read about you. A video application costs $5 and takes about ten minutes. You record short answers in your browser, nothing gets uploaded until you are happy, and only the employer for that job can watch them. It is the one thing on Giggy that costs money, and it keeps the lights on.
Who we are
A few people in New Zealand who have worked in cafes, on farms, on building sites and in offices, and who got tired of watching good people and good jobs miss each other. We read every message that comes in. If something on Giggy is not right, tell us and we will fix it.
Questions, ideas, or something broken? Head to Support or email support@giggy.nz. Have a read of our Privacy and Terms too, they are short.
